"My earliest memory of creating art was sitting on the back porch of my house in the Mooroopna, drawing to my heart's content. I think I was five years of age."
"Colour is my love, pattern is my friend and my imagination is everything."
Kate completed a graphic design degree and a diploma in art teaching which set her up for a 10 year period as an illustrator in educational publishing, as well as 13 years of employment as a primary school art teacher.
She was always searching for a more nourishing style of art and when living in Thailand and looking out across the landscapes, she was allowed the time to find it.
Now, Kate produces art inspired by all things botanical - the peaks and troughs of mountain ranges and light, colour and patterns within any landscape.
