It's a dream to make my art public so I'm chuffed you're here.

I’m Hannah, the creator of Easely by Hannah artworks.

When I was five I started making collages from magazines, fascinated at how I could combine elements from different pages into a new landscape. I loved that I could see my imagination play out in front of my eyes and onto paper.

While studying visual art and design in high school I learnt the beauty of many art forms - from watercolours to printmaking - and I still draw on these all the time.

For the last few years I've been making art at home, for my walls, as gifts for friends, and just as pure experimentation. But now it’s time to share it with you all.

My signature style is using bold contrasting colours and fun, energetic techniques. I use a combination of photo transfer, acrylic and mark making to achieve a layered piece - mostly on wood panels, but I also dabble in canvas, fabric and even vintage plates as my backdrop.

When I’m creating a piece, my first step is to sketch out a concept and play with the colour palette I’ll use - drawing inspiration from other contemporary artists I find across Pinterest, Instagram and in galleries and museums. Each of my artworks have many layers. Firstly I’ll lay a base of varnish to seal my canvas, then I’ll go in with gesso, the base layer colours, and then I’ll build from there.
