Upside Down
I wanted to focus on using acrylic paints as the key medium for this piece, rather than bring in mixed media like I usually do. I love the contrast of navy and magenta, so I created the piece with this colour combo in mind as the hero. The piece looks best hung ‘upside down’ to give the drip features a surreal look.
50cm x 50cm, 2cm deep
Square wooden panel
Mediums used: acrylic paints and gesso.
